Island of the Trasimeno Book
Literary cafés with authors and writers, but also exhibitions, concerts, theatrical performances and laboratories for kids: until the 17th September Passignano sul Trasimeno, but also Magione and Castel Rigone, are going to host the fifth edition of the Trasimeno Book’s Island.
This year the festival, devoted to the promotion of reading, is going to handle the most contemporary topics such as mafia, illegality and indifference, and the antithetical concepts of anti-mafia, legality and attention.
Among the many participating guests there will be the President of the Senate Pietro Grasso with his “Stories of blood, friends and ghosts”.
During the festival the literary prize “Tell me Umbria in a book” will be raised again and will be attributed to the two authors who were able to narrate in the best way the specific features of Umbria.
The schedule also includes the photographic exhibition of Luigi Gargiulo “The memory of water”, the exhibition of paintings of Mauro Capitani, a fair of books and stands of local typical products.
In the musical area, the concerts of Annalisa Baldi and the Umbria Ensemble are very much awaited.
