Il Maggio dei Libri returns once again this year — the national campaign that promotes the social value of reading — with a rich programme of events across the municipalities of Lake Trasimeno. From 1st to 31st May 2025, Castiglione del Lago, Città della Pieve, Magione, Panicale, Piegaro, and Tuoro sul Trasimeno will host author talks, public readings, exhibitions, workshops, and performances for both adults and children, all inspired by the theme of the 15^th edition: Intelleg(g)o.

In Castiglione del Lago, the calendar includes three events reserved for schools, a photographic exhibition on the biodiversity of Lake Trasimeno at the Sala del Pizzo in Palazzo della Corgna, and the presentation of Cinzia Pennati’s book In famiglia tutto bene. Also noteworthy are the events taking place in Città della Pieve, including the exhibition Umbria Novecento, the theatre performance La smania della villeggiatura, and the concert Bach & l’Italia at the Teatro Comunale.
