Il Libro che tu sei 2025

From 9th February to 4th May 2025, the evocative 16th-century halls of Palazzo della Corgna in Castiglione del Lago will host the collective exhibition Il Libro che tu sei, an engaging and thought-provoking reflection on the artist’s book as an autonomous and non-reproducible form of art. Curated by Antonella Pesola, the exhibition brings together 68 Italian and international artists, including renowned figures such as Joseph Beuys, Alda Merini, Pier Paolo Calzolari, and Piero Dorazio.

Here, the artist’s book is not merely a container of text or images, but a unique, conceptual object in which the artist controls every aspect of the creation – from structure and materials to design and content. The works range across painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking, transforming the book into a sensory and participatory experience.

The exhibition path is enriched by the immersive installation Himn by Roberto Sportellini, curated by Andrea Baffoni and set up in the project room of the palace, inviting visitors to explore the relationships between objects, space, and light.

The exhibition is open every day: until 29 March from 10:00 to 17:00, and from 30 March from 9:30 to 19:00. Entry is included in the admission ticket for Palazzo della Corgna and the Medieval Fortress.
