Ice-creams of Italy 2015
The third edition of the "Ice-creams of Italy" exhibition will be organized in Orvieto, taking place from 25 April to 3 May 2015, with the sponsorship of the Umbria Regional Authority, the Terni Provincial Authority, the Municipality of Orvieto and the Chamber of Commerce of Terni.
The formula used for this event combines the promotion of Italy's tradition of homemade ice-cream with the enhancement of the attractions in one of the symbolic towns of Umbria, by hosting tastings, cultural initiatives, exhibitions and social events in the historical buildings and squares of the old town centre of Orvieto.
The main places and buildings in the old town centre will be the absolute protagonists of this event, starting with Piazza Duomo, Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza del Popolo, where stands for tastings will be set up.
From advance information released about the programme, an announcement has been made, indicating that world champion Francesco Falasconi will be present in the three squares, creating exceptional ice sculptures every day. Palazzo dei Sette will host the extremely popular "Pearls of Ice-cream" mini-courses for adults and children, in collaboration with the master ice-cream makers of the Italian School of Ice-cream making and demonstrations by the ice-cream makers of the Val di Zoldo valley.
