The Giro d’Italia passes through Umbria
On Sunday, May 18, the ninth stage of the Corsa Rosa will take place, with a scenic route starting in Umbria and concluding in Siena.
The starting point will be the historic city of Gubbio, from where the group will embark on a journey through the green heart of Italy. After riding along Pian d’Assino, the cyclists will pass through Mocaiana and Camporeggiano, before entering Umbertide along the former SS3 bis Tiberina.
The route will continue on SP146, passing Lisciano Niccone, Molino Vitelli, and Spedalicchio, before bidding farewell to Umbria and crossing the border into Tuscany.
