From 30 July to 17 August 2024, Ferragosto Toreggiano returns, between the beach of Lido di Tuoro, "Il Sodo" Park, and the historic centre of Tuoro sul Trasimeno, with an extensive programme of theatrical events, animations, parades, re-enactments, games, and tastings, which will bring to life the customs and traditions of the Roman and Carthaginian civilisations.
A journey through time during the period of the Punic Wars will take visitors back to 217 B.C., the year of the famous Battle of Trasimeno in which Hannibal was the protagonist: the four districts of the village (Trasimena, Colonna, Malpasso and Val Romana) will compete in a series of contests and competitions to obtain the amphora of victory.
A unique opportunity to enjoy the scents, flavours and atmosphere of a past that still lives on in the memory and tradition of Tuoro sul Trasimeno.
