Destate la Notte 2023
The City of Perugia's summer series of art and culture events, Destate la Notte, debuts Friday, July 21, with the Sunset Concerts.
Extraordinary return on August 10, with the Perugia Big Band, which will hold a concert in honor of great Italian music and Perugia's patron saint San Lorenzo in Piazza della Repubblica.
The union with Trasimeno Prog Festival is renewed, thanks to the Aug. 17 concert at Frontone, where, then, on Aug. 27, Maestro Maurizio Mastrini will star with Maestro Giuseppe Caimi's musicians' concert "Terra Madre."
Destate the Night will also be touring the various neighborhoods of the city of Perugia, at Ripa (July 29), San Sisto (Aug. 1) and at the Montelaguardia green area on Aug. 12 and 29.
Again at the Frontone, Great Opera will return, with Nabucco on Aug. 1, while there will be two concerts (Aug. 4 and 11) as part of the Musica dal mondo festival.
Another central theme of Destate la notte 2023 is the focus on young people, with many events dedicated to them: a fairy tale park, a family theater review curated by Teatro le onde, the Figuratevi festival curated by Figure Theater at the Borgo Bello arena, and more.
Finally, space for the new theater in the square (Sept. 22 and 23, Oct. 1) curated by the Sacco Theater and the CUT's "theater at home" project that will bring workshops inside nursing homes.
Finally, numerous exhibitions will enliven Palazzo Penna, the Rocca Paolina, the Domus Pauperum and the exhibition center on Via Oberdan.
