The fourth edition of Borghi in Cinema, a film festival combining film viewing and knowledge of the territory, will be held from 23 August to 13 September 2024, with four Fridays in four southern Umbrian villages: Arrone, Itieli (Narni), Vasciano (Stroncone) and San Gemini.
Each Friday the programme includes a cultural walk at 6.30 p.m. to discover the village, and at 7 p.m. readings for children, followed by the presentation and screening of a film.
On 30 August at 9.00 p.m., in Itieli (Narni), at the Churchyard of the Church of San Nicola, there will be a screening of ‘Io Danzerò’ by Stéphanie Di Giusto, a hypnotic film on the figure of Loïe Fuller, creator of the ‘Serpentine’ dance, a parable of a 20th century dance icon.
On 6 September at 9 p.m., in Vasciano (Stroncone), at the Pro Loco equipped area, it will be time for ‘I limoni d'inverno’ by Caterina Carone: two disoriented souls are grappling with their gardening activities and rediscover their expressive abilities through art.
Finally, on 13 September at 9 p.m., in San Gemini, at the Cloister of the Guido Calori Opera Museum, ‘Borromini and Bernini - Challenge to Perfection’ by Giovanni Troilo: the story of Borromini, a man who deprives himself of everything to pursue a dream, and his artistic challenge to the limit of perfection with Bernini.
