From Degas to Boldini: A Look at Impressionism Between France and Italy
From April 16 to June 29, 2025, Palazzo Montani Leoni in Terni hosts the exhibition "From Degas to Boldini: A Look at Impressionism Between France and Italy." The exhibition aims to celebrate both French Impressionism and the Italian Impressionist period, more than 150 years after its birth. Through a selection of 44 works, including sculptures, paintings, and writings from prestigious national and international museums, as well as art collections from banking foundations and credit institutions, the exhibition primarily focuses on Italian artists who significantly contributed to the national artistic landscape between the mid-19th and early 20th centuries. These artists, despite their notable contributions, have not always received due recognition, often overshadowed by the fame of the French movement. The exhibition therefore offers an opportunity to rediscover and appreciate the Italian contribution to Impressionism. The exhibition is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:30 to 19:30. Admission is free.
