The 43rd edition of the world’s largest Christmas tree, in Gubbio, will be held from 7 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.
The tree, now entered in the Guinness Book of Records, is built since 1981 on Mount Ingino, located behind the city of Gubbio; in detail is composed of about 700 luminous bodies of various types and colors, has a height of over 750 meters and occupies an area of about 130 thousand square meters. In addition, it hides its roots within the walls of the medieval city, reaching the height of the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo thanks to its star, placed on top of Mount Ingino.
The Tree, as per tradition, will be lit on December 7 on the eve of the Immaculate Conception. The lighting time will be from sunset until late at night during the holiday period.
