The 51st Chestnut Festival in Morre, taking place on 18 and 19 October 2025, celebrates one of Umbria’s most iconic autumn fruits with a weekend of tradition, local flavours and conviviality. Set in the picturesque village of Morre, a hamlet of the Municipality of Baschi, the event features a rich programme combining gastronomy, nature and local culture.
On Saturday 18 October, at 5:00 p.m., a wine masterclass led by international judge Marco Sciarrini will offer participants the chance to learn more about local wines and discover the region’s finest products. From 7:00 p.m., the food stand will open, serving typical dishes and seasonal specialities.
On Sunday 19 October, the festival continues with a Trekking Walk through the Chestnut Grove, followed by a stroll among readings, music and nature in Morruzze. Starting at 10:00 a.m., the sagra will come to life with free tastings of roasted chestnuts, must and wine, together with a market fair and the sale of traditional chestnut-based desserts. Food stalls will remain open all day, offering visitors an autumn weekend filled with genuine flavours and the warm hospitality of Umbria.
