On Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 9:00 PM, Montone will host the opening concert of the music festival "Rocche e Ville… all’Opera" at the Rocca di Braccio. The event involves eight municipalities in Umbria and features a series of sixteen live music events, with a special focus on the Italian and European operatic repertoire.

The festival, taking place in two phases — summer 2025 and spring 2026 — offers a musical journey designed to enhance the Umbrian region through concerts ranging from opera to klezmer music, from symphonic to folk music, and even contemporary fusions. The aim is to bring great music to small villages, where the historical and architectural heritage provides ideal settings for a widespread and high-quality cultural experience.

The first event features the CorOrchestra of Cortona, conducted by Maestro Marco Ferruzzi, who will lead the audience through some of the most famous pages of the opera-symphonic tradition. The next concert will be held on August 8, again in Montone, with "KlezmerOpera" by Duo Malastrana, which creatively blends klezmer music with the best-known opera arias.
