Olio in Festa 2025
On October 26, Valfabbrica hosts a new edition of Olio in Festa, a full day devoted to discovering freshly pressed olive oil and the surrounding territory. The event takes place between the historic centre and nearby olive groves, offering activities suitable for all ages.
In the morning, from 9:00 a.m., a trekking route will depart from Piazza Mazzini and lead to the centuries-old olive grove of Frantoio Priorelli, where participants can watch the olive pressing and taste the freshly produced oil. At the same time, at 9:30 a.m., an E-bike tour will start from “Ciclostazione Ricki E-Bike”, lasting about two and a half hours and organised with CSEN assistance. Motorcycle enthusiasts can join a motorbike tour organised by the Moto Dolmen association.
From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., a free shuttle service will operate from Piazza Mazzini to the main oil mills of the area: Priorelli, Merli, and Antoniacci, allowing visitors to easily move between production and tasting sites.
At 11:30 a.m., at Frantoio Priorelli, the duo Sandro Paradisi and Antonio Ruvo will perform Sounds from the Ancient Olive Trees, a musical experience set among the “Dolce Agogia” olive grove. Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a tasting of the new oil and a guided tour of the mill.
In the early afternoon, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Piazza San Sebastiano will host live music, tastings, and children’s entertainment by the Re Artrù company. To close the day, at 4:00 p.m., a guided tasting will be held at the Valfabbrica Cultural Centre, led by expert taster Donato Palacia, focusing on the recognition and appreciation of different olive oil varieties.
