La Disfida di San Fortunato 2024
From 6 to 14 October in Todi, as every year, the historical re-enactment returns to celebrate the important charismatic figure of San Fortunato, the town's patron saint.
An ancient local tradition that will take the Todi community and all curious visitors back in time to the 13th century, Todi's most flourishing era.
Medieval fights, performances by jesters, falconers and drummers will spread through the town's squares, to revive a unique atmosphere.
As per tradition, the heart of the event will be the enthralling archery competitions: the historic Disfida di San Fortunato, with the participation of archers from all over Italy, and the Palio dell'Aquila, in which the six districts of the city will compete.
Not to be missed is the market exhibition Tipico Todi, with numerous products, local handicrafts, gifts and gastronomy.
At the end of the festival, one can admire the evocative historical procession of the Cortei d'Italia, in which historical groups from all over Italy will take part. The procession will pass through the main streets of the city to reach the steps of the Church of San Fortunato.
