Festival della Sociologia 2025
Narni, on 10–11 October 2025, will host the tenth edition of the Festival della Sociologia, focusing on the theme “Belonging in Society. Care, Attention and Sustainability”. Two days of talks, workshops, performances and discussions will explore the relationship between relational care, community and territory from an open and interdisciplinary perspective.
The programme opens with a keynote by French sociologist Patricia Paperman on the ethics of care, followed by musical readings and stories addressing migration and caregiving. A tribute to Franco Ferrarotti honours his role in shaping Italian sociology. Numerous panels will address topics such as social vulnerability, gender-based violence, quality of life, local welfare, healthcare, digital conflict, data and inclusion.
Focus will also be placed on young people, the environment, the impact of artificial intelligence on relationships, and care as a transversal practice. The festival includes photographic exhibitions, art workshops and initiatives involving schools and universities. The programme concludes with a panel on businesses, sustainability and care, followed by a blues concert at Teatro Manini.
