In the charming village of Tuoro sul Trasimeno, on Lake Trasimeno, from July 30th to August 15th 2025, the Ferragosto Toreggiano will take place: an event that enlivens the historic center, the Lido beach, and the “Il Sodo” Park with historical reenactments, theatrical performances, entertainment, and tastings inspired by the Roman and Carthaginian era.
The highlight will be the reenactment of the famous Battle of Trasimene in 217 BC, with two days dedicated to “Tuoro 217 BC.”

Over three weeks, locals and visitors can immerse themselves in a unique atmosphere: the four districts – Trasimena, Colonna, Malpasso, and Val Romana – will compete in games and shows to win the coveted victory amphora. Visitors can explore military camps, follow the historical parade, and enjoy warrior performances, dances, fire shows, and live music.

The highlight evening of Tuoro 217 BC, an immersive moment featuring hundreds of reenactors, will begin in the afternoon with ancient games and workshops and culminate in gladiator shows, fire dancing, Celtic music, and themed dinners (Roman, Carthaginian, Etruscan) in historic taverns.
