From 13th to 21st April 2025, Assisi celebrates Easter with a rich programme of religious and cultural events. In this city, a symbol of spirituality, peace and dialogue, the Settimana Santa begins with Palm Sunday and ends with Easter Monday.

During these days, churches, basilicas and squares become the setting for solemn liturgical celebrations: from the Mass of the Lord’s Supper to the foot-washing rite, from the evocative Good Friday Way of the Cross to the Easter Vigil, culminating in the great Easter Sunday celebration with the blessing of the city from the loggia of the Sacred Convent.

But Easter in Assisi is also about art and culture. Among the most anticipated events is the opening of the exhibition “Peace on Earth” on 16 April at the Rocca Maggiore, featuring over a hundred works by Banksy dedicated to the theme of peace. The exhibition will officially kick off the Assisi Estate 2025 series, which will enliven the spring and summer with events dedicated to music, art, walking routes and nature.
