From 24^th February to 25^th March the Corgna Palace, cultural heart of Castiglione del Lago, is going to host the exhibition “Castiglione del Lago and Colombia”, through two expositive sections: “The faces of Gabo. Gabriel García Márquez” and “Maria Isabel de Lince. Painter of light”.

The section “The faces of Gabo.

Gabriel García Márquez” includes 75 caricatures executed by artists of international fame, devoted to one among the most brilliant and loved writer of all ages, able to revolutionize the world of Spanish-speaking literature, as well as the view of the 20 ^th century intellectual.

The personal exhibition of Maria Isabel de Lince presents its original pictorial art. The artist, coming from Bogotà, has been defined “Painter of Light” after the studies of Visual Art and Architectonical Design carried out at the Javeriana University of Bogotá.

Her art revisits the artworks of her favourite artists, such as Rembrandt and Turner, and focuses on chromatism, by experimenting techniques like graffiti and encaustic as well as manipulating the oil paint through glazes and spatula strokes with unique results.
