The wonderful world of Mirò is going to invade the halls of the Corgna Palace in Castiglione del Lago. Shapes, colours and signs are going to reveal the relationship between the Catalan Master and the “artist’s books”. On display there will be 70 graphic works belonging to four complete series.


The summer of Castiglione del Lago will be marked by the wonderful world of Mirò with the great exhibition “Joan Mirò.

Graphic wonders 1966 – 1976”, open from 27 th June to 4 th November, in the halls of the fascinating Corgna Palace.

The exhibition will include four complete series, for a total of 70 graphic works. In the surrealist creations of Mirò the shapes, the colours and the extraordinary alphabet of signs are the result of his incredible ability to innovate in the light of a global view of art, lived with curiosity and versatility.

Walking through the exhibitions rooms hosting the artworks of Mirò in Castiglione del Lago will be like exploring the intimate relationship that the Catalan artist had with the “artist’s book” and discovering the complex relationship between text and illustration typical of those years.

The prestigious exhibition of Castiglione del Lago is a unique occasion to be enchanted by unexpected visions and expressive freedom that make Mirò the incomparable Master of 1900 who it’s hard not to fall in love with.
