From the 10^th to the 14^th May Terni is going to host for the first time the "Special Olympics National Summer Games". Terni is also the first of the three stages included in the event, a big appointment aimed at raising the awareness of the area about the inclusion of people with mental disability through sport.

Several are the expected athletes coming from 17 foreign countries: Netherlands, UK, Hungary, Latvia, Romania, Malta, Spain, Andorra, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Germany, Austria, Finland, Cyprus, Canada, Portugal, the Republic of San Marino and Italy.

Athletes will compete in the following disciplines: swimming, athletics, tennis, golf, rowing, indoor rowing and dragon boat.
