33rd edition of Special Olimpics National Summer Games
From the 10th to the 14th May Terni is going to host for the first time the "Special Olympics National Summer Games". Terni is also the first of the three stages included in the event, a big appointment aimed at raising the awareness of the area about the inclusion of people with mental disability through sport.
Several are the expected athletes coming from 17 foreign countries: Netherlands, UK, Hungary, Latvia, Romania, Malta, Spain, Andorra, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Germany, Austria, Finland, Cyprus, Canada, Portugal, the Republic of San Marino and Italy.
Athletes will compete in the following disciplines: swimming, athletics, tennis, golf, rowing, indoor rowing and dragon boat.
