"Extinction" and "Godzilland"

Gubbio has always been linked to the fascinating world of dinosaurs: the Bottacione's gorge, a deep engraving in the earth with vertical walls between the Ingino and Foce mountains, is also known as "Earth's archive", due to the different fossil forms located in its rocks. The cause that determined dinosaurs' extinction has been assumed thanks to this very important geological site.

The candles Town will be once again protagonist of this ancient mystery linked to the planet's history with "Extinction" and  "Godzilland: from the Lost World to Jurassic Park", two exhibitions devoted to dinosaurs and open until the 1st October 2017 in the spaces of the former St.

Benedict's monastery.

"Extinction" is the project's scientific part and describes the different theories on the mass extinctions happened throughout the planet's history, whereas "Godzil- land" is an itinerary among literature, comics, cinema, television, figurative arts and music, that offers an extraordinary selection of materials coming from private collections and museums, among which posters, photographs, projections, toys and much more.

At the end the two exhibitions will include several days of events that will range from workshops to informative conferences, from laboratories to guided visits.
