Walking surrounded by the enchanting landscape of olive trees covering the Italian hills is the unique experience of the National Day of the Walk among the Olive trees, an initiative promoted by the Association of Oil Towns that will take place for the second time on Sunday 28^th October in 123 cities.

The 18 participating regions - from Lombardy to Sicily - are going to host many itineraries in a unique date for a walk (between 2 and 5 kilometres) devoted to families and enthusiasts, in order to discover the Italian olive-growing heritage through landscapes linked to the history and culture of the green gold. Each Municipality selected a route among the olive trees with unique historical and environmental features that ends with an oil mill, an olive farm or an historical palace where a tasting of bread, oil and typical products will be offered to the participants.
