This year marks the return of L’AltroFestival, now in its 11th edition, scheduled from 22 to 30 August, curated by the National Museums of Perugia, the National Gallery of Umbria and the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Umbria, with the patronage of the Region of Umbria and the Municipality of Perugia, the support of Fondazione Perugia and the contribution of the Goethe-Institut and the German Institute.

The festival, dedicated to piano and string quintets, focuses on the music of Johannes Brahms and César Franck.

Performing will be the quintet Ars et Labor with Christa Butzberger (piano), Sara Gianfriddo and Daniele Ruzza (violins), Sayoko Obori (viola), and Heloise Piolat (cello).

Programme:

22–28 August, 10:00–13:00 and 16:30–18:30 at the Cittadella della Musica Ars Et Labor, Via Imbriani 2: rehearsals open to the public;

27 August, 6 pm at the Cittadella della Musica: introduction to C. Franck;

28 August, 6 pm at the Cittadella della Musica: introduction to J. Brahms;

29 August, 11 am (Franck) and 5 pm (Brahms) at the National Gallery of Umbria: general rehearsal;

30 August, 5 pm at the National Gallery of Umbria: final concert.
