In Assisi, from October 26 to November 30, 2025, returns UNTO – UNESCO, Nature, Territory, Olive Oil, now in its thirteenth edition. The initiative is part of the national Frantoi Aperti program, which every year attracts thousands of visitors to Umbria, drawn by the world of olive oil and its traditions. During the weeks of the event, the city welcomes residents and tourists with a rich program of activities spread across the historic center and the surrounding area.

At the heart of the experience is the discovery of Assisi’s UNESCO heritage, with guided tours to the city’s symbolic sites and itineraries designed to highlight the encounter between culture, spirituality, and nature. Alongside artistic and scenic routes, there are guided tastings of extra virgin olive oil, meetings with experts, educational workshops for children, and musical moments that create an atmosphere of conviviality and learning.

A distinctive element of the event is the visit to the olive mills, where the public can witness the olive pressing process and take part in the tasting of the new oil on toasted bread. This direct experience allows visitors to appreciate the value of agricultural work and the deep connection between olive oil production and the Umbrian landscape.
