Teatro di Sacco 2025

Perugia, from October 25 to November 30, hosts the 29th edition of INDIZI, the long-running theatre season of the Teatro di Sacco. The programme offers a journey that combines drama, civil theatre, stand-up comedy, and music, featuring Umbrian and national artists on the stage of the Sala Cutu, confirming the theatre’s role as a place for encounter and reflection.

The season opens on October 25 with Volevo vedere il cielo by Massimo Carlotto, directed by M.A. Calvisi, starring Miana Merisi, a production by L’Effimero Meraviglioso. On November 8, Andrea Tosatto performs Donne & Uomini, a stand-up comedy show exploring contemporary social and relational dynamics. On November 28, Gianfranco De Franco presents a live soundtrack performance of Murnau’s Nosferatu, followed on November 29 by Riccardo Leonelli in La disfatta by G. Guardigli, an intense piece of civil theatre set in Hitler’s bunker. The season concludes on November 30 with Tu computer, electronic poetic act by Claudia Fofi and Angelo Benedetti, a poetic and musical reflection on artificial intelligence.

Alongside the theatre season, Teatro di Sacco renews its commitment to theatrical education with workshops for children, teenagers, and adults, aimed at self-discovery through the language of performance. In parallel, the programme of itinerant theatrical visits continues, blending storytelling, local heritage, and collective memory, transforming the exploration of places into a participatory theatrical experience.

Upcoming initiatives include Domina Branca, a site-specific event at the State Archives of Perugia, and the project Journey through Umbria – Theatre in the Territory, which will bring performances and workshops to the towns of Bevagna, Campello sul Clitunno, Castel Ritaldi, Giano dell’Umbria, Gualdo Cattaneo, Massa Martana, Montefalco, and Trevi.
