The winter exhibitions of Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive

Enrico Corte and Andrea Nurcis ("EXCERPTA"), Danilo Bucchi, Andrea Capanna, Mauro Di Silvestre, Nicola Pucci and Giuseppe Ripa ("Urban Screens") will exhibit in the Winter Exhibitions of Palazzo Collicola in Spoleto, open from 16 December 2017.

EXCERPTA” is the widest and most articulated exhibition ever carried out by Enrico Corte and Andrea Nurci, among the most unclassifiable, experimental and visionary artists of the contemporary Italian scene. It’s the first time that the Noble Floor and the Exhibition Floor will be used for a single exhibition mingling languages, themes, concepts and narrative forms. It’s not a usual chronological or thematic itinerary but a spontaneous germination in the environments, a group of apparitions similar to the way crossing an autumn forest, when you meet different typologies of plants without an apparent predefined order.

"SCHERMI URBANI", included in the broader program Collicola OnTheWall, involves about 20 sites in the Spoleto historical centre: two newsstands (Piazza Collicola, Piazza della Libertà), the six showcases of the Ancaiani Palace (Piazza della Libertà) and about fifteen showcases spread along the main road networks of Spoleto (Corso Mazzini, Via del Mercato, Via Salara Vecchia, via Minervio). These are the locations that will be “covered” by large contemporary artworks, executed by 5 artists (Danilo Bucchi, Andrea Capanna, Mauro Di Silvestre, Nicola Pucci e Giuseppe Ripa) who have already collaborated with the Collicola Palace of Visual Arts.

In addition to these two projects there is lastly “VIAGGIATORI sulla FLAMINIA - 18° Itinerario / REPORT VALNERINA 2017”. The tenth edition of VIAGGIATORI sulla FLAMINIA includes in its schedule 18 itineraries in line with the travels in the Umbrian Valnerina across the territories of Preci and Norcia, routes that have been interrupted by the earthquake on 30th October 2016.

Along the itineraries, beyond the wonders of Nature, there are places of worship, agricultural lands and industries, museums, unusual spaces with different times and rules, uncertainties and setbacks, zig-zag variations, always with the fundamental collaboration of small municipalities, cultural associations, simple citizens and the availability of artists and cultural operators who convey different languages, experiences and individual stories, together with on-going ideas, actions and travel stories.

Palazzo Collicola is going to host the exhibition of the reportage materials coming from travels along the municipalities of Valnerina and the Umbrian Appenine Ridge, who have been involved in the 2017 Valnerina Report project.
