It’s a new exhibition of cribs executed by more hands. Through five scenes drawn from the Gospel narrative, it’s possible to retrace the salient moments of Jesus’ childhood, also by using the figures made by one of the Andalusian main workshops.

There will be a group of nativity scenes executed by the partners and on this occasion, it will be possible to visit a place that is normally closed to the public, that preserves some traces of an important ancient Roman domus.

When: from 11th December to 6th January 2017/ Always open in the gardens of Via del Piviere – Borgo Rivo
Where: Borgo Rivo, Terni
The crib wants to be a tribute to the tradition of the Centurini jute factory as well as an event of pace and union. The families of the Village are going to host outdoors the Cribs’ pictures executed with jute elements and other wood as well as metallic materials.

Crib with beyond 150 characters. The event also includes tastings.

Floating crib on the lake, made of polystyrene. Suggestive night-time lighting.

Where: Acquasparta
The crib includes 150 figures and winds its way along the typical alleys of the village. Beyond recalling the event of birth in Bethlem, it aims at enhancing the craft and commercial activities carried out in the ancestors’ town.

Artistic crib of 1545 made up of more than 30 life-size terracotta statues painted with vitreous varnish. It’s an artwork by the brothers Giacomo and Raffaele by Montereale.
The entrance ticket to the Orsoline Museum includes the access to the crib.
The ticket’s price (5 €, 3 € reduced) includes the guided visit.

When: from 24 December to 31 January 2018 / on public holidays from 3.30 to 7 pm; on weekdays from 4 to 6 pm
Where: Ferentillo – St. Mary Church, L.go F.Miselli
It’s a multi-scenic animated artistic crib, with narration of passages from the Luca’s Gospel about the nativity. Scenes are highlighted through features such as lighting effects, smoke and various movements. The crib won the tenth edition of the national contest “Presepium Italie”.

Visit to the artistic cribs along the Ferentillo – Nicciano hiking route.

➡ Artistic Crib
When: from 24 December to 31 January 2018/ from 3 to 7 pm on all public holidays of the Christmas period. In the working days call the phone number: 0744 389268.
Where: Montefranco - Santa Maria Assunta
It’s a mechanic crib made by the master-watchmaker Giuseppe Romani. The crib has a perspective that through a game of mirrors creates a depth effect of 50-60 metres. Furthermore, there are special effects such as the day, the night, the snow and acoustic effects. All figures are animated with mechanical movements reproducing the old activities and trades.

Where: Narni, Itieli Village
It’s a hand-made crib that reproduces interesting places of the Terni territory such as the Marmore Waterfall, the Franciscan Cave of Narni, the small village of Itieli, with moving characters and special effects.

When: 30th December – 5.30 pm
Where: San Vito di Narni
The crib winds its way through the streets of the medieval village of St. Vito di Nani, and its figures are mainly children and teenagers. Details in setting up workstations, trades and in producing costumes have been carefully chosen. The nativity scene is represented in a suggestive natural cave and the Child Jesus is always represented by the last new-born of the village.

Where: St. Gemini, in the historical centre and in the Village’s Churches
They are cribs made by the Cribs committee in collaboration with the citizens and schools by using various materials and techniques. Particularly interesting is the “Crib in the village”, set up in the centre of the St. John Baptist Church that reproduces the places of St. Gemini, its history and traditions throughout the years and is completely hand-made.
