Italian Ice-creams

Italian Ice-creams, that this year is going to take place from 24th April to 1st May, combines the promotion of the Italian tradition of the hand-made ice-cream and the enhancement of beauties of one of Umbrian symbolic towns, by hosting tastings, cultural initiatives, exhibitions and social appointments in the squares and historical palaces of Orvieto’s centre.


Piazza Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica will be animated by stands offering food, whereas Palazzo dei Sette will host the Ice-Cream makers of the Zoldo’s Valley who, as in the previous years, will offer demonstrations alongside ice-cream tastings carried out with ancient machines.

The scheduled events will be several: street food, demonstrations, cooking shows, experiments to discover the contaminations among ice-cream and the typical products of the Orvieto area, until the proclamation of the competition’s winning region, that has been Sardinia in 2017 with the taste “Flower of buffalo with buffalo’s milk and perfume of basil”.
