On Easter Monday, 1 April 2024, FAI welcomes you to the Bosco di San Francesco di Assisi with a special event: a botanical treasure hunt for adults and children in the garden of Santa Croce.

At 10.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. at the entrance to the Piazza della Basilica Superiore there will be a treasure hunt along the Bosco path in the company of naturalist Chiara Proietti and the "Apprendisti Ciceroni". Participants will have to face many botanical quizzes hidden in the forest. There will be sweet surprises for everyone, young and old, on arrival.

At 12.30 p.m. at the Complesso di Santa Croce there will be the traditional Easter Monday concert to celebrate the return of spring and the awakening from winter torpor, as was the case in the Middle Ages when every village came alive by staging rituals that in many cases had ancient and pagan origins. Thanks to the "I Trobadores" ensemble from Assisi, it will be possible to sing songs dedicated to spring and enjoy the dances that animated the 14th-century spring festivals.
