All is ready for the very first edition of “La Trasimena”: the historical bike ride of the Trasimeno Lake open to historical bikes prior to 1987 will arrive on 16^th and 17^th June. 

The viable itineraries are two:

• the short itinerary of 48 km is flat and short. It starts from the centre in Piazza Mazzini and will allow everyone to admire the landscape surrounding the Trasimeno Lake as well as to taste the products of the territory.

The itinerary, once left Castiglione del Lago, will cross smaller streets and dirt roads, thereafter mainly flat streets, by running alongside the borders with Tuscany and the lakes of Muntepulciano and Chiusi, with two refreshment stands in the locations of Pozzuolo and Vaiano, for then returning to Castiglione in Piazza G. Mazzini.

starting from Piazza Mazzini and once left Castiglione del Lago, the long itinerary of 80 km will cross minor streets and mainly flat dirt roads, by running alongside the borders with Tuscany and the lakes of Muntepulciano and Chiusi. It will allow to taste the local specialties and to admire the Umbrian landscape, with two refreshment stands in the locations of Pozzuolo and Cantagallina, for then continuing along the climb to Città dellà Pieve (housing the 3^rd refreshment point) and then going down towards Castiglione del Lago until the return to Piazza G. Mazzini.
