From 17^th August to 6^th September, the inspiring setting of Corgna Palace in Castiglione del Lago is going to host the 14^th edition of the Festival of Classical Music that will offer, as always, a schedule rich with concerts that will be able to satisfy all tastes.

The programme includes twelve events that will have as protagonists renowned Italian and foreign musicians, in a fascinating alternation of musical skills.

The event will be closed by the famous pianist Stefano Ragni with a concert conference dedicated to the 150^th anniversary of the death of Gioacchino Rossini.

Corgna Palace

Corgna Palace raises in Piazza Gramsci in the historical centre of Castiglione del Lago and is connected, through a covered walkway, to the beautiful medieval fortress overlooking the Trasimeno Lake.

Born as hunting lodge of the Baglioni family, it was later adapted by Ascanio della Corgna as a noble residence of his family.

The building presents a monumental 1500 façade preceded by a staircase and by beautifully decorated interiors.

Notably important is the broad pictorial decoration executed by artists such as Niccolò Circignani called “The Pomarancio”.
