In Castel Viscardo and the hamlet of Viceno, from 8 December 2025 to 11 January 2026, a wide-ranging programme of Christmas events brings together social gatherings, cultural activities and initiatives linked to local history and traditions. The event features a series of activities held in public squares, cultural venues and community spaces throughout the municipality.

The programme opens with the Christmas tree lighting and activities for children, followed by convivial moments, traditional games, film screenings and creative workshops. Alongside recreational events, the calendar includes initiatives dedicated to craftsmanship and local production, such as the artisan market and creative Christmas activities. Evening gatherings and shared moments further contribute to strengthening community ties during the festive season.

During the same period, the exhibition Viceno and Its People Between Art, History and Tradition is hosted at the Parish Hall of the Church of Saints Peter, Paul and Nicholas in Viceno, open daily with continuous hours. The exhibition presents works by local artists and materials related to the area’s history, offering an insight into everyday life, traditions and community identity over time. Photographs, objects and artworks create a narrative that combines historical memory with contemporary perspectives.

Finally, this year from 24 December, “Il presepe di Vera” will be open to visitors, a terracotta Nativity scene composed of 50 hand-crafted figurines depicting Castel Viscardo and its people. It is an unmissable opportunity to experience an authentic Christmas in the heart of Piazza 4 Novembre. A bridge between past and present: let us pause for a moment and listen to the story that each figurine has to tell. Values such as family, sharing and simplicity await us in this small yet great masterpiece.
