Natale a Corciano 2025
In Corciano, from 13 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, Natale a Corciano returns with a programme that transforms the village into an open-air nativity scene featuring installations, artistic projections, concerts, exhibitions, children's activities and living nativity scenes in the surrounding hamlets. At the heart of the event is the monumental nativity scene that unfolds through the historic centre, animated by life-sized figures in terracotta and medieval costumes that evoke scenes of daily life.
Each year the nativity scene explores a different theme. The 2025 edition is dedicated to biodiversity and the richness of creation, represented by the symbol of the “working bee”, which reflects harmony within nature and the value of cooperation, and also pays homage to the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis. The theme concludes a year of environmental initiatives carried out in the Corciano area, including the recent opening of a beekeeping oasis in the village.
Alongside traditional events, the 2025 edition introduces new elements such as artistic video projections that will illuminate the main monuments and a writing competition for students focusing on pollinating insects and their protection. The programme also includes two exhibitions: “Exsultet: Song to the Light” at the Church Museum of San Francesco and “On the Wings of a New Harmony” in Via Ballarini.
