The Crib on the Hill of Paradise
When: from 1st December to 6th January, from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Where: Assisi, Foyer of the Metastasio Theatre
The Nativity scene on the Hill of Paradise, conceived by Carlo Angeletti with passion and a great sense of tradition, has been created since 1995 thanks to the availability of the Sacred Convent and the collaboration of volunteers.

 

Exhibition of the Holy Land's Nativity scenes 
When: from 8th December to 6th January, from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Where: Assisi, Lawn of the St. Francis Upper Basilica
Exhibition of the Holy Land's Nativity scenes. Exhibitions of panels depicting the 800 years of the Franciscans' permanence in the Holy Land.

The Nativity scene at the Minerva
When: from 8th December to 6th January
Where: Assisi, Temple of Minerva - Town Hall Square
A life-size Nativity scene is going to be created under the colonnade of the Minerva Temple and will make this monument of the Assisi's antiquity even more precious and suggestive.

 

Neapolitan Artistic Crib of 1700
When: from 8th December to 6th January, from 10.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.
Where: Assisi, Sala Palazzo Capitano del Popolo
The work reflects the style and tradition of the Neapolitan crib and offers together with the Nativity an extremely lively cross-section of popular life crowded with shepherds where reality is caught with a smiling and good-natured eye. The dress of the shepherds has been made and sewn entirely by hand by Antonietta Mancinelli Angeletti who with wise care has also worked in the choice of fabrics and models that reproduce the popular clothes of the festival.

 

Exhibition of crib art
When: 8-9 / 15-16 December and from 22nd December to 6th January - from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.


Where: Assisi, Galleria Le Logge - Piazza del Comune
It is now a usual appointment for the city of Assisi, which displays many valuable handmade Nativity Scenes coming from different parts of Italy.

Organized by the Living Crib of Petrignano d'Assisi on the occasion of the 40th edition

 

“A world of Cribs...” - International Exhibition of Nativity Scenes
When: from 8th December to 13th January, from 9 am to 12.40 pm /from 2.30 to 7 pm
Where: Santa Maria degli Angeli, in the Sanctuary premises and in the large cloister of the Convent
Every year the Porziuncola hosts, within an evocative setting, a large exhibition of Nativity scenes coming from different parts of the world.

 

Franciscan-inspired nativity scene
When: from 16th December to 6th January, from 10 am to 12 pm / from 3 pm to 6 pm
Where: Assisi, Antico Fondaco dell'Orto degli Aghi - 6, via Porta Perlici
Domestic setting of the Nativity in the medieval Assisi, made in an ancient warehouse, with life-size figures in period costumes. Curated by Giampiero Italiani in collaboration with Parte de Sopra and Parte de Sotto, Accademia Punto Assisi and the S. Rufino Cathedral.

 

Exhibition of Assisi's Artistic Nativity Scenes 
When: from 23rd December to 6th January, from 10.00 am to 12 pm / from 4.30 to 7.00 p.m.
Where: Assisi, Sala ex Pinacoteca – Town Hall Square
Exhibition of the Assisi's Artistic Nativity Scenes and exhibition of the Artistic Nativity Scenes of Torre del Greco. Organized by the Association "L'isola che non c'è" (The island that doesn't exist) in collaboration with the Municipality of Assisi and curated by Franco Paccamiccio as well as by the Assisi Municipal Tourist Board.

 

The Ice Crib
When: from 23rd December to 6th January
Where: S. Maria degli Angeli, Theatre Lyrick's outdoor area
Exhibition of the largest Nativity scene in Italy made entirely of ice.
Organized by the Italian Association of Ice Sculptors

 

Nativity scene in the Sacred Hovel
When: from 24th December to 2nd February
Where: Sanctuary of Rivotorto 
An Umbrian and Franciscan Crib is going to be set up in Rivotorto in the Sanctuary of the Sacred Hovel. The Nativity scene is the perfect reconstruction of an Umbrian landscape, with fields and trees. The Major Fortress of Assisi will be the background of a small world in miniature reconstructed with natural materials.

 

Contest of Nativities 
When: from 24th December to 6th January
Where: Assisi, Sala ex Pinacoteca – Town Hall Square
Nativity scenes made by citizens, schools and local associations set up in the City of Assisi.
Info and collection of participation forms at the Tourist Office of Assisi. 
The contest is going to end at 12 pm on 21-12-2018..

Living Nativity scene of San Gregorio 
When: on 24th December - opening at 10 pm / on 26th and 30th December 2018 - 1st and 6th January 2019 / opening hours 5.30 - 7.30 pm
Where: San Gregorio 
Representation of the Nativity and Nativity scenes inside the Walls of the Castle.

 

Living Nativity scene of Petrignano
When: 25 - 26 - 30 December - 1 January / on 6th January at 4.30 pm arrival of the Three Kings and parade of all participants, followed by a normal representation until 7 pm / opening hours: from 5.15 to 7.30 pm
Where: Petrignano di Assisi
At sunset more than one hundred participants are giving life to the magical Living Nativity scene of Petrignano di Assisi. Every alley and every corner of the medieval village are going to be enveloped in a magical atmosphere with plays of light and shadow.

 

Living Nativity scene of Armenzano
When: 26 and 30 December 2018 - 1 January 2019 / from 4.30pm to 7.30pm
Where: Armenzano
Curated by the Armenzano's Municipal Tourist Board, it is one of the most long-lasting Christmas re-enactments in Assisi and Subasio. In the small village of medieval origin, the local population remembers the moments linked to the birth of Jesus: the announcement of the Angel to Mary, the doubts of Joseph, Mary's visit to Elizabeth, Herod's anger at the new Messiah, the census, the arrival of the Three Kings.

 

Living Nativity scene of Bettona
When
: 26th and 30th December 2018 - 1st and 6th January 2019 / from 5.30 to 8 pm
Where: Bettona
A unique artwork: 22 acted scenes and 150 extras for one of the largest living nativity scenes in Umbria, through the picturesque alleys of one of the most beautiful Italian villages.
