Lugnano in Teverina will host the seventh edition of the Palio dell’Assunta from 31 July to 14 August 2025, a historical re-enactment that brings the medieval soul of the village back to life. For four days, the town comes alive with events, competitions between districts, parades, performances and traditional taverns, offering visitors a vivid journey into the past.

Festivities begin on 31 July with children's activities and the Palio dei Giovanissimi, followed by the reading of the official announcement and the Investiture Ceremony. In the following days, the programme features open workshops, street performances, live music and the opening of the Taverna de lo Priore, where visitors can enjoy traditional dishes. On 2 August, the fire and dance show "Presone, Regina d’Ombra" will light up the evening.

The highlight of the festival is on 3 August, with the Grand Historical Parade and the Palio dell’Assunta, where the four districts compete for the silver ring in a display of skill and precision. The event closes on 14 August with the solemn Ceremony of the Candle, as the local authorities process towards the altar of the Assunta.
