Luigi Spina. L'Umbria di San Francesco 2025
From 3 October 2025 to 18 January 2026, the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria in Perugia hosts the exhibition “Luigi Spina. L’Umbria di San Francesco”, set up in Room 39. The project explores the Franciscan sites of Umbria through Luigi Spina’s lens, capturing the timeless atmosphere of landscapes and urban contexts linked to the saint’s spirituality.
The exhibition inaugurates a new section of the museum’s permanent collection, enriching its chronology and offering a contemporary perspective on a long-standing cultural and spiritual heritage.
Spina, an internationally renowned photographer, has published numerous volumes and received prestigious awards, including the Digital Michetti Prize (2022) and the Gold Medal at the MGIP Book Award (2024). His works, exhibited in Italy and abroad, stand out for their ability to combine technical rigour with narrative sensitivity.
