Festival Internazionale Giovani Concertisti

The XXVII edition of the International Festival Giovani Concertisti, with artistic direction by the Perugia Chamber Orchestra, will be held from 24 July to 18 August in Piazza Sant'Agostino, Castel Rigone (Passignano sul Trasimeno).
The opening evening of Wednesday 24 July, at 9 p.m., will feature the Chamber Orchestra of Perugia and Young, and Ettore Pagano on cello, with ‘Rococo and Romantic’, on the notes of P. I. Tchaikovsky and L. Van Beethoven.
On Sunday 28 July, at 9 p.m., the Alfieri Quartet composed of Davide Moro and Matteo Baldoni on the violin, Matteo Introna on the viola and Sofia Bellettini on the cello, with ‘New Generations’ and music by P J. Turina, N. Paganini, A. Copland and S. Prokofiev.
On Tuesday 13 August, at 9 p.m., ‘L'Europa Barocca’ with Christian Schmitt and Alessia Vermi on oboe, Salvatore Oriti on bassoon, Alessandro Schillaci on double bass and Alessandra Gentile on harpsichord, with music by G. F. Händel, C. P. E. Bach, F. Couperin, G. P. Telemann, J. D. Zelenka.
The final evening, Sunday 18 August, will feature at 9 p.m. ‘Classical and Romantic’, with Calogero Palermo on clarinet, Giovanni Gnocchi on cello, and Linda di Carlo on piano, with music by L. van Beethoven, R. Schumann, and J. Brahms.
In the event of bad weather, the concerts will be held at the Sanctuary of Maria SS dei Miracoli, in Castel Rigone.
