From 7 to 10 December in Arrone, a series of Christmas events is scheduled, dedicated to creativity, local traditions and community participation. The programme opens on Sunday 7 December at the Valnerina Social Centre, where at 4:30 pm Christmas creative workshops will be held for adults and children, followed by a snack.

On Monday 8 December, in Piazza G. Garibaldi, the Small Nativity Scene Exhibition will be inaugurated. In the afternoon, the Santa’s House will also open, with the traditional letter delivery and the chance to meet Santa Claus and his elves on horseback. The day will also feature “Let’s Decorate Our Tree”, an activity where children and families can create ornaments with messages of peace and love. The afternoon will conclude with pizzole and sweets for the children.

On Tuesday 9 December, again in Piazza G. Garibaldi, the “Festa della Venuta” will take place, with the lighting of the traditional bonfire and festive ringing from the bell tower of the Church of San Giovanni Battista.

On Wednesday 10 December, marking the International Human Rights Day, two initiatives will focus on the theme. At 10:30 am the meeting “Rights and duties: two sides of the same coin” will take place with students from the G. Fanciulli Comprehensive Institute. At 8:00 pm, the bell tower of the Church of San Giovanni Battista will join the European initiative “Let’s Ring the Bells of Europe to Support Human Rights”, connecting various Italian and European communities in a shared moment of participation.

On Thursday, 11 December, the creative workshop “What Can I Make for Christmas?” will be held, dedicated to making Christmas decorations.

On Saturday, 13 December, “Christmas at the Stables” will take place — an afternoon of games surrounded by nature and in the company of horses.

On Sunday, 21 December, the Christmas Concert by the Arrone Music Band will be held at the Valnerina Theatre in Arrone.

The traditional Arrone Living Nativity Scene will be staged on 26 December, 1 January and 6 January.
