Poster of Tre Passi Umbri in Spoleto

Tre Passi Umbri 2026

From 1 May to 30 September 2026, the second edition of Tre Passi Umbri returns to Umbria — a permanent cycle tourism event involving 8 municipalities in an unhurried route suitable for road bikes, gravel, MTB and e-bikes.

The event is non-competitive: participants can tackle the route independently, at their own pace and on their own schedule, within the five-month window. Completing the itinerary entitles riders to a brevetto (certificate) or attestato (participation certificate), depending on the chosen route.

Two routes are available, starting and finishing in Spoleto, or from any other checkpoint along the course marked with a QR code. The long route covers 125 km with 3,057 metres of elevation gain (high physical difficulty, excellent technical skills required) and passes through villages including Rasiglia, Sellano, Postignano, Cerreto di Spoleto, Poggiodomo and Gavelli. The short route covers 95 km with 2,033 metres of elevation gain (moderate difficulty, good technical skills required), with stops at Molini, Verchiano, Sellano, Colle and Meggiano.

Both routes run mainly on paved roads with light traffic, with a roughly 2,500-metre section of compact gravel near Postignano. The landscapes along the way offer remarkable natural scenery, interspersed with historic villages and local cultural heritage.
