1366 Palio de L’Acuto 2026
Casteltodino, a hamlet of Montecastrilli, hosts from 19 to 21 June the historical reenactment “1366 Palio de L’Acuto”, dedicated to the siege of the town by John Hawkwood, known in Italy as Giovanni L’Acuto. For three days, the village becomes a medieval setting featuring historical events, traditions and community participation.
The programme includes parades, district challenges, historical costumes and convivial moments throughout the historic centre. Medieval atmospheres accompany a schedule designed to engage both residents and visitors through historical reconstructions and shared experiences.
The programme opens on Thursday, 18 June, with the Hostaria de L’Acuto, dedicated to traditional cuisine and local flavours. In the evening, the Historical Parade and the Challenge Launch will mark the symbolic beginning of the rivalry between San Biagio District and San Giovanni District, alongside the first Palio competition.
