Spazio Kossuth in Città della Pieve presents from May 30 to Setptember 30 2026 the exhibition “Freedom and Discipline: A Necessary Dialogue”, curated by Matteo Pacini, featuring a selection of works by Alessandro Kokocinski focused on the relationship between freedom and discipline.

The exhibition brings together works in which painting and sculpture meet through a variety of materials and techniques. One of the central figures is Petruska, the famous puppet from the Russian tradition and a recurring character in the artist’s work. Alongside him are figures inspired by the worlds of theatre and circus, including acrobats, clowns and jesters.

Through these characters, Kokocinski explores themes of balance, movement and transformation, creating a visual universe suspended between reality and imagination. The exhibition highlights some of the recurring themes of the artist’s practice, including memory, performance and representation.
