LaValentiniana

LaValentiniana

LaValentiniana will be the first stage of the "Historical and Gravel Grand Tour", the event collecting the various appointments devoted to cycling tourism in some of the most beautiful Italian places.

Now in its third edition, the Valentinian, this year scheduled on the 22nd and 23rd April, will double becoming "Retrò" and "Gravel": two circuits (one short and one long) dedicated to bikes built before 1987 and all bikes of today, both perfect to discover beauties of Terni Valnerina and of St.

Reatina's Valley.

The most demanding bicycle ride of the cycling history includes a non-competitive itinerary long less than 80 km:  departing from Piediluco, you will head into the Natural Reserve of Rieti's plain, until reaching Hills on Velino, for then travelling along a section of Nera's Greenway, between the lakes of Ventina and Piediluco.

So you will reach the Marmore's Waterfalls and from there you will descend towards Terni and St. Valentine's Basilica, continuing in the direction of Marmore's Waterfalls for then reaching Arrone, from where you will return to Piediluco.

Instead, the short historical line covers a distance of 40 km, partly tracing the previous itinerary.

The 90 km-long route for gravel bikes and bikes with pedal assistance overlaps for a good part with the long historical one: it crosses the same places but with further sections of white street that make it enchanting for those who will travel along it.
