Festival Assisi nel Mondo
The 2016 edition of the "Festival Assisi nel Mondo" will be taking place in many of Umbria's wonderful towns: Assisi, Foligno and Terni, as well as Orvieto, Montefalco, Perugia, Amelia, Spello, Gubbio and Spoleto.
Until the 29th December there will be a series of concerts taking place, with performances by some of the world's most talented young musicians as well as big names from the international concert scene, orchestras and choirs.
There is a wide range of events not to be missed: from the first performance of the one-act opera "Salomè" by Giuseppe Magrino on the 9th July in front of the Lower Basilica of Saint Francis, to the concert with performances by Uto Ughi and the Rome Philharmonic Orchestra, scheduled to take place on the 27th November at the Teatro Menotti in Spoleto.
The Festival dedicates every edition to a charitable organization and since 2008, has been raising funds for Unicef Italia.
