Enologica 2016
Enologica, that will take place in Montefalco from September 16 to 18, is an event devoted to one of the Italian most famous DOCG wines: Sagrantino.
The 2016 edition's theme and contents take inspiration from the recent recognition obtained by the Montefalco's Municipality: "Green Spike".
The three-day event includes a lot of initiatives revolving around Sagrantino: from tastings matching the Umbrian tradition's dishes to cooking shows, through music and meetings on the subject.
The schedule includes projections, walks to discover the territory and exhibitions, among which the one dedicated to discover the Benozzo Gozzoli‘s painting cycle on St Francis of Assisi's life, revealing some details and particular aspects of it.
This event was born to know from close the area's villages, lands and wineries and attracted over 5000 visitors who came to discover the wine tradition of "Umbrian Railing".
