Carsulae 1951-2016
A selection of many new materials coming from Umberto Ciotti's excavations (1951 - 1972) and from the last excavation campaigns (2012 - 2016)will be exhibited at the Montani Leoni Palace in Terni from the 20th January to the 19th February 2017.
It's the exhibition "Carsulae 1951 - 2016: From U. Ciotti's big excavations to the last archeological researches" that will open on Thursday 19th January with a series of presentations focused on the exhibition and on the last researches' outcomes.
Carsulae, ancient Roman town along the Flaminia road, is located on the border between San Gemini and Terni. The area collects the rests of the main public, civil and religious monuments: from the Basilica to the Church of St. Cosma and Damiano, from the Amphitheatre to the Forum, through the thermal plant and the Antiquarium Tank.
