Versando Torgiano
| From hiking through the vineyards and olive groves, to wine making, from cinema to publishing, not to mention wine tasting and the chance to try traditional local specialities: it's the 2015 edition of "Versando Torgiano", from the 13th to the 15th November. |
Three days packed with initiatives including three special appointments dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of "Vaselle d'Autore per il Vino Novello", the initiative established to celebrate the bond that has always united Torgiano, wine and ceramics.
The first, on Saturday 14th November in the Museo dell'olivo e dell'olio (Olive and Oil Museum) with cruets made by students from the Fine Arts Academies of Perugia, Rome (RUFA), Naples and Cordova together with master ceramicist Giovanni Maffucci.
On Sunday 15th November the animation video made by the artist Mirco Denicolò to pay tribute to the 60 artists who have made pieces dedicated to the festival over the last 20 years, will be presented.
Also on Sunday, the exhibition "Vaselle d'Autore per il Vino Novello" (artisan wine flasks for the new wine that have been specially commissioned for the event) will be inaugurated. Vilma Villaverde, Enrico Stropparo and Andrea Caruso are the three artists who have been invited, as is tradition, to create three ceramic wine flasks.
