The first edition of Spoleto Saporito takes place from September 4 to 6 in Piazza Garibaldi in Spoleto, offering a journey through the typical productions of the Umbrian rural territory. The initiative represents an opportunity to discover and purchase local food and wine specialties, including organic oil, wine, craft beer, pork butchery products, pastry, jams, truffles, and preserved goods. The event program includes musical entertainment, such as a DJ set scheduled for Saturday evening to accompany the tasting activities. Within the event, the GAL Valle Umbra and Sibillini curates the space called Palazzo GAL, conceived as a place for cultural and food and wine promotion and study. This area hosts a series of scheduled appointments by reservation, including show cooking sessions dedicated to traditional dishes and local pasta such as strangozzi, guided wine tasting sessions in collaboration with the Consorzio Tutela Vini di Montefalco, and creative workshops aimed at children. The activities aim to enhance local tourist and recreational resources through the involvement of chefs, producers, and visitors in a context of sharing regional gastronomic traditions.
