Festival Segni Barocchi 2026
In Foligno, from 28 August to 5 September, the Festival Segni Barocchi returns for its 47th edition with the theme “Lost Paradises”. Inspired by vanitas and memento mori, the programme explores themes of human limits, transience and memory through theatre, music, poetry and talks.
Events take place at Palazzo Trinci, the Oratorio del Crocifisso, Teatro San Carlo, Auditorium San Domenico and across the historic centre. The programme includes concerts, performances, readings and conferences, with artists and performers including Ugo Pagliai, Giuseppe Zeno, Moni Ovadia, Graziano Piazza and Giuseppe Manfridi.
Themes range from 17th-century music to Caravaggio, Bernini and Shakespeare, as well as the relationship between art, life and death. On 4 September, the festival also presents the premiere of “Vanità (delle vanità)”, a musical drama by Marco Podda.
The festival concludes on 5 September with the Notte Barocca, featuring itinerant scenes, music, readings and performances throughout the historic centre of Foligno.
