In Morre, in the municipality of Baschi, the 52ª Sagra della Castagna takes place on 17 and 18 October, with a programme dedicated to chestnuts and local traditions. The event begins on Saturday at 8:30 pm with a pairs briscola card tournament. On Sunday, activities start at 8:30 am with a trek through the chestnut woods, for which advance booking is required, followed by the opening of the festival at 10:00 am. During the day visitors can take part in a free tasting of roasted chestnuts, grape must and wine, browse the traditional display and sale of chestnut-based sweets, visit the market fair and make use of the various food stands. The event combines local food traditions with an opportunity to explore the surrounding landscape.
