New exhibition projects at Palazzo Collicola and across Spoleto’s museum network
In Spoleto, on Saturday 27 June from 11:00 am, new exhibition projects open at Palazzo Collicola and other venues across the city’s museum network. The programme includes a series of exhibitions dedicated to contemporary art, together with the presentation of the renewed display of the museum’s permanent collection.
At Palazzo Collicola, the Piano Nobile hosts Anafora, a solo exhibition by Giuseppe Penone. On the ground floor, Grande assurdo, a solo exhibition by Adelaide Cioni, presents previously unseen works created specifically for the museum’s galleries. Also on the ground floor, Un salto nel vuoto is dedicated to Filippo Marignoli on the centenary of his birth, featuring a selection of works that retrace his artistic practice. On the same day, the museum also unveils the renewed display of its permanent collection, offering a new interpretation of its holdings and the relationship between the artworks and the exhibition spaces.
The programme also extends to other venues in the city. At the Battistero della Manna d’Oro, Ephemĕris presents a selection of videos by Giuseppe Penone. Casa Romana hosts In Negotiation, an installation by the collective jocjonjosch. At the Museum of Science and Territory, Marmott. Storia di una specie non osservata is a solo exhibition by Laurent Le Deunff, while Casa Menotti and the Meeting Point present Cose Piccole, a solo exhibition by Davide Mancini Zanchi. Together, these projects create a programme that brings together sculpture, painting, video, installation and contemporary artistic practices across several cultural venues in Spoleto.
